Privacy
How Sellr handles marketplace and account data.
This launch privacy notice explains the practical data Sellr uses to run verified community resale, support requests, reporting, and account operations.
What Sellr Collects
Sellr collects the information needed to run a verified local marketplace and respond to user requests.
- Account and contact details, such as display name, verified email or phone, and community membership status.
- Marketplace content, such as listings, prices, descriptions, photos, approximate pickup areas, and seller profile context.
- Messages, reports, support requests, and waitlist submissions that users send through Sellr.
- Basic device, browser, log, and security data used to keep the service reliable and investigate abuse.
How Sellr Uses Data
- To verify community access, keep marketplace activity community-scoped, and support buyer and seller workflows.
- To operate listing creation, browsing, messaging, notifications, support, reports, and admin moderation.
- To troubleshoot bugs, improve seed-launch readiness, prevent spam or abuse, and protect account access.
- To send transactional messages such as sign-in codes, support responses, and product notices that are tied to the service.
Sharing
Sellr does not sell personal data. Data may be shared with service providers that help run hosting, database, email, media storage, analytics, and operational tooling, or when required to protect users, comply with law, or respond to abuse.
Marketplace Visibility
- Other verified members may see the listing details, seller profile context, and message content needed for a transaction.
- Listings should use approximate pickup areas. Exact private pickup details should be shared only in conversation when both sides are ready.
- Reports and moderation actions may expose relevant context to authorized operators for safety review.
Retention And Deletion
Sellr keeps data while it is needed to operate accounts, listings, messages, support, safety review, and legal or audit obligations. Account deletion is currently request-based through support.
To request deletion, use the support form and choose Account, access, or deletion help.
Security
Sellr uses verified sign-in paths, server-side API access, and operational controls to protect marketplace data. No online service can promise perfect security, so users should avoid sending passwords, OTP codes, payment details, or private pickup addresses through support.
